Trustee Board

All scout groups are indepedent chairties within the federated structure of the Scout Association.

The Group Trustee Board plays an important role in the running of the Group. The Board makes decisions and carries out administrative tasks to make sure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people in the Group.

Membership of the Board is set up in a way that ensures the interests of the Group and the Group Lead Volunteer are represented and balanced. It also ensures a broad membership.

Members of the Trustee Board act collectively as charity trustees of the Group Scout Council, and in the best interests of the charity.
