Group Plan

We are working towards a Group where high quality Scouting is visible, provided by well-trained and supported volunteers, working together to enable every young person who wants to, to join, learn skills for life, contribute, and have a positive impact on the local community.

Our Group Development Plan sets out how we aim to improve Scouting within the Group. It has been put together with input from leaders, young people and other stakeholders. We have also sought views from the District Team.

We have identified 5 areas that we will be focusing on over the next five years:

• Governance

• Recruitment and retention of adults and young people

• Support and training for adult volunteers and Young Leaders

• High-quality programme

• Communications

Our strength comes from our outstanding volunteers, who focus on providing high-quality Scouting for our young people.
